Holloway Prison Site Public Meeting

The Community Plan for Holloway has cautiously welcomed the sale of the Holloway Prison site to Peabody housing association, with some assistance from the London Mayor. Peabody has stated that they will meet local campaigners requests for:

  • 60% genuinely affordable housing (42% at social rents)

  • Green space

  • The visitor’s centre to become a temporary homeless shelter

  • A women’s building to honour the legacy of the rehabilitation and training that took place in the prison.

A public meeting will be hosted at St George’s on Saturday 30 March, 2-4pm, where there will be an opportunity to meet with the proposed architects and discuss how local community voices can continue to be prioritised as the development progresses.
