Harvest Festival

Autumn has well and truly arrived and on Sunday 2 October, we celebrate Harvest Festival!

This time of year, we take time to thank God for the abundant provision of all our food, and for all who are involved in growing it from seed to the produce arriving in the shops and at our tables. We also pause to consider and pray about issues of injustice in farming and food distribution. And it’s an opportunity for us to share generously what we have received.

At our 10.30am service on 2 October, we’ll both celebrate the lavish providence of God, and confess the ways in which we have not always acted justly as individuals or as a nation in our food consumption.

Please join us for our all-age service, bringing along a contribution for the Hive food bank, such as:

  • Milk (UHT or powdered)

  • Nappies

  • Rice / Pasta / Noodles

  • Sauces (e.g. for pasta or curry)

  • Tinned or packet soup

  • Tinned veg

  • Teabags / Instant Coffee

  • Biscuits

  • Sugar

  • Tinned puddings

  • Toiletries (e.g. toothpaste, soap)

  • Cereal

  • Jam / Peanut Butter

You can also donate directly to the Hive Food Bank HERE.

Please also bring along a hot or cold dish for our bring-and-share lunch, which we’ll enjoy together after the service.

Looking forward to celebrating together!
