Holy Week and Easter

You are warmly welcome to join us at any or all of our services and events during Holy Week and Easter:

Palm Sunday - 14 April 11am-12.15pm

Our 11am service will be all-age and together we’ll travel through the whole story of Holy Week, from Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem to the Last Supper, his arrest, trial and crucifixion.

Maundy Thursday - 18 April 6.30-8.30pm

We’ll explore the meaning behind the Last Supper, by looking into the Passover meal that Jesus shared with his friends, and share Communion together, as Jesus instructed his disciples. We’ll also eat a meal together, so do come hungry!

Good Friday - 19 April 12-3pm

Three hours of meditation around the cross on this solemn day - but please feel free to come and go during that time. There will be six reflections that will begin on the hour or half hour, so come for as many or few as you would like. There’ll be music, art and silence to aid our reflections.

Easter Sunday - 21 April

At 6.30am we’ll gather around a fire outside church for our ‘dawn’ vigil to welcome the risen Christ. There’ll be readings around the fire, followed by worship inside. And we’ll close with a Champagne breakfast!

At 11am there’ll be a celebratory Holy Communion service, with some activities for children, to rejoice in the good news of the Easter story - followed by an Easter egg hunt!
